Industry talent recognised in the Offshore Achievement Awards

2013 Winners

The offshore industry’s highest achievers were recognised at last night’s 2013 Offshore Achievement Awards, with Malcolm Webb, chief executive of Oil & Gas UK, picking up the Significant Achievement accolade.

The 27th awards ceremony, which saw a record attendance of 530 guests, took place at the Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre and was hosted by Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges. The industry’s top talent was celebrated in categories which included Great Large and Great Small Company, Safety Innovations and Emerging Technology.

 

Shortlist announced for the 2013 Offshore Achievement Awards

2013 Finalists

Finalists for this year's Offshore Achievement Awards have been named today, in an announcement which celebrates the highest performing companies and individuals within the energy industry.

The 2013 awards, which were launched in October by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen Section, received a high level of interest across each of the categories. TAQA Bratani is supporting the awards as main sponsor for a second successive year.

 

Trophy Design Competition Returns For Second Year

Trophy Design Competition

Four students at the Robert Gordon University Gray's School of Art have been shortlisted in a competition to have trophy designs brought to life and presented to winners at the 27th Offshore Achievement Awards.

The competition was introduced last year by the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Aberdeen section to coincide with the re-launch of the awards. The 2011 winning design was created by Jessica Barr and the trophy received high praise from last year’s winners

 

Offshore Achievement Awards 2013 Now Open

Following a successful re-launch last year, the Society of Petroleum Engineers Aberdeen Section is again hosting the Offshore Achievement Awards with the support of main sponsor TAQA Bratani and media sponsorship from the Press & Journal.

This year will see the ceremony move to the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre to meet the huge demand for spaces at the event in March 2012.

 

THE DINNER

The spectacular black tie awards ceremony was held on Thursday 21 March at Aberdeen Exhibition & Conference Centre, hosted by Scottish comedian Kevin Bridges. Details of the 2014 ceremony will be available shortly.
