Thinking big - 2016 Great Large Company Winner, Tendeka

Great Large Company is a tough category to be in. Even more so when you're up against heavyweight companies much larger that yourself! But that didn't deter 2016 Great Large Company Winner, Tendeka, who beat the competition to take home the coveted prize.
Here, Technical Marketing Coordinator for Tendeka, Mirielle Taylor, discusses why it was so important to win, and what has changed for them in the past few months.
"The Offshore Achievement Awards are among the most well-known honours in the offshore oil and gas industry. For Tendeka, a well completions company which competes in the global marketplace with the largest service providers, the Great Large Company award category in the OAAs seemed to fit our business ambitions perfectly. Success in this category would prove to the industry that, while maybe not as large as our competitors, we think big and our voice deserves to be heard.
"At Tendeka, we have positioned ourselves to be extremely competitive; to provide the best service and added value possible. We regarded being shortlisted as a finalist in the OAAs as recognition of the value and quality of our completion technologies at a time when the industry faces significant challenges.
"To then go on and win the award was a fantastic achievement and was a testament to the efforts of all our staff in making Tendeka such a ‘Great Large Company’ to work for.
"Winning the award has certainly helped increase our profile. Shortly after our success, we secured a four-year contract with Wintershall Norge AS to supply sand screens for wells in the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
"Having adapted successfully to the market downturn, Tendeka continues to prove that we can compete at the highest level in well completions."
