Previous winner, TWMA, returns to 2018 OAAs

March 2018

As a previous winner, twice, at the Offshore Achievement Awards, TWMA is well versed in what it takes to become an OAA finalist.

This year sees the company nominated in the Great Company (Large) category, with TWMA growing from 30 employees in 2000, to 550 employees today. The company aims to further increase its headcount up to 1,500 and to achieve this, an aggressive growth strategy has been developed including a recruitment drive, global expansion and new product/service development.

We caught up with Gareth Innes, Chief Commercial Officer at TWMA, to find out more.

Congratulations! How does it feel to be nominated?

"We are very proud to have been nominated as a finalist for the Great Company Award – Large category. We’re global leaders in our market space, and our commitment to innovation allows us to achieve results that no one else can. Over the past six months we have added additional strength and resourcing to allow a focus on both the growth of our core business, and exciting new development opportunities, and we are delighted that all of this has been recognised through our nomination."

This isn't your first time as a finalist at the OAAs, having previously won twice! What do you think is so special about the OAAs?

"An OAA is one of the most credible accolades in the industry, recognising the achievements of individuals and companies across the industry, so it is an honour to be involved and the industry kudos that finalist – or category winner – status brings cannot be underestimated."

Beyond this status, what do you think are the additional benefits of being nominated for awards such as these?

"One of the main benefits of the OAAs is the industry and peer recognition they give TWMA and our team. Awards such as this recognise the efforts of everyone at TWMA and the value they bring to the Company. We are proud of our extremely talented workforce, which is the driving force behind our continued success."

And this talented workforce continues to grow each year. How do you retain this talent, and grow as a company?

"Regardless of size, it’s very important to remember where a company started, and the journey it has been on. Each member of the TWMA team contributes to the success of the company; it’s a joint effort from over 550 dedicated employees, and this is something we are very proud of."
