Global expansion plays a big role in STATS Group’s growth strategy. And they do it so well, that they’re a nominee for the Internationalisation Award at the 2020 Offshore Achievement Awards. Darran Pledger is Marketing Manager for STATS Group and shares more.
STATS Group has supported its internationalisation strategy by adopting a regional based operating model.
“This has involved significant investment in office and workshop facilities in Abu Dhabi, Edmonton, Qatar, Houston and Kuala Lumpur, to support global operations. This strategy has enabled key equipment to be located in each region close to customer facilities, thereby reducing shipping and handling costs and providing a responsive service.”
STATS internationalisation strategy required entry into mature, established markets where competition already existed from significantly larger organisations.
“To gain access to these markets, STATS focused on its innovative technology to provide alternative solutions, focused on high integrity isolation which offered clients key safety and financial benefits. Additionally, STATS track record for providing engineered solutions to meet client challenges has allowed the group to deliver safe isolation and intervention solutions where alternatives were not available.”
