Principal Sponsor, TAQA Supports Hamish Dear's Warm Hugs

February 2020

As Principal Sponsor, TAQA has contributed a lot to the Offshore Achievement Awards over the years. As part of their sponsorship each year, TAQA is heavily involved in various elements of what makes the OAAs happen.

This includes judging the Gray's School of Art trophy competition, sitting on the nominations judging committee, and raising funds for their chosen charity.

Siân Mutch, Senior Corporate Communications Advisor at TAQA tells us more:

"Each year our staff choose a charity they would like to support, and this means that they really get behind the cause, which is evident by the number of people who get involved and the amount of money raised every year.  This year our staff voted to support local charity Hamish Dear’s Warm Hugs and we have so far raised over £23k for the charity."

Hamish Dear’s Warm Hugs provide financial assistance to children who have a cancer diagnosis and are being treated at the Children’s hospitals in Aberdeen, Edinburgh and Glasgow by funding day activities, short breaks and gifts. Their mission is to ‘keep children smiling through their toughest battles’.

Guests will be able to make donations to the charity at the 2020 Offshore Achievement Awards ceremony which takes place on 19 March 2020 at P&J Live.

Hollie Dear, who runs the charity along with husband Kris, said:

“To get the chance to spread the message about Hamish Dear’s Warm Hugs to such a large audience is an amazing opportunity for us. We’re a small charity and support like this is invaluable to ensure we can continue to provide financial assistance to those who need it as such a difficult time.”

Book your table at the Offshore Achievement Awards and help to support this fantastic cause.
