2018 Winner Update: Coretrax

September 2018

The Export Achievement Award celebrates the successes of companies in terms of their export activity and their international growth.

This year's winner, Coretrax, took home the trophy for their outstanding work in exports which they describe as "central to Coretrax operations".

Global Business Development Director, John Fraser, spoke to us about what has been happening at the company since winning the Export Achievement Award.

So congratulations again on your win at this year's OAAs! What have been some of the milestones Coretrax has reached since winning?

"Since winning the award, Coretrax has begun work on several new contracts both in the UK sector and internationally, supporting drilling and abandonment projects. Additionally, we continued to support our long-running contracts with our Middle East base reaching a milestone of completing 400 wellbore clean up jobs in a six months period."

In just six months, that's very impressive. Do you feel the Export Achievement Award helped in attaining some of the company's goals?

"The Offshore Achievement awards are highly respected in the oil and gas industry, so we were honoured be recognised with the 2018 Export Achievement Award. The award not only underpinned our achievements to date, but also pushed us to continue developing our bespoke technology and applying it to a global market."

And what's next for Coretrax?

"Coretrax has seen significant success in the last six months, with more than £5 million of turnover recorded in the first half of 2018, with headcount also increasing by 30 in the last year.
"Our business is growing globally across our bases in the UK, Middle East and South East Asia where we recently invested £1 million in three Malaysian bases. We are also also supporting projects in the US and West Africa where we see future market potential for our wellbore clean up technology and service offering."

And we might see another OAA entry too..? What advice would you give to those entering the Export Achievement Award category in 2019?

"It's imperative that you can demonstrate your export success to date so ensure you have tangible evidence of your business growth and strategy to back up your entry.
"Be proud and speak about your achievements. The Offshore Achievement Awards are about recognising and celebrating success and it’s the perfect platform to show off the skills, expertise and dedication of the entire team."

The 33rd Offshore Achievement Awards are open for entries. View full criteria and download all nomination forms through our nominations page. It's free to enter and nominations will close on 16 November 2018. Good luck!
